Davido and his cousin, Sina Rambo have been drawn into the pool of controversy over their social media posts about the hero of the match between the Super Eagles and Iceland: Ahmed Musa. The two singers have been accused of promoting cultism, specifically the Black Axe Confraternity.

In the middle of the celebration of the victory of the Super Eagles over their World Cup opponent

(Iceland); Davido made a post on social

media about Ahmed Musa – the scorer of

the two goals
that helped the Super Eagles edge out

their European opponent. In his post,

Davido made a note of number 7 – the jersey number of Ahmed Musa; and Sina
Rambo joined him in reveling in the essence of the
number, with a comment that read, “Give dem 7.”
Surprisingly, one of Davido’s millions of followers using the handle @dej_jam, linked the emphasis

on the number 7, to promoting cultism. She accused the two singers of flaunting their cult
affiliation. Reacting to Sina Rambo’s comment she wrote, “@sinarambo them don carry you join cult too? Dead guys.
