Paul Pogba May Have Played "Last Minutes" For Man Utd As Mbappe Urges PSG Move

Paul Pogba may have played his ‘last minutes’ for Manchester United with a summer move to Paris Saint-Germain a growing possibility.

Goals from Luis Diaz, Sadio Mane and a Mohamed Salah brace earned Jurgen Klopp’s side another significant win over their rivals as the problems for the visitors continue to mount.

Pogba, who is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the season, limped off with a suspected calf injury and there is now a possibility that he does not play for the club again. The midfielder – who is United’s club record signing following his £89million return in 2016 - is set to leave the club as a free agent for the second time, having also exited upon the expiration of his contract a decade ago.

The 29-year-old lasted just nine minutes of the trip to Anfield, by which time his side were already trailing and on course for a heavy defeat. Former United defender Gary Neville added on commentary: “That could be Paul Pogba's last minutes in a Manchester United shirt if that injury lasts for a few weeks.”

PSG have emerged as contenders for his signature with Pogba’s France international teammate Mbappe urging him to consider a move to the club. As outlined by Deportes Cuatro, PSG remain intent on renewing their star striker’s deal and part of their charm offensive is to afford him a say on the club’s transfer policy – with Pogba top of the list.

United interim boss Ralf Rangnick could not hide his frustration at Pogba’s injury after the loss at Anfield. “Muscular injury in his calf…he pulled his muscle,” the United interim boss explained. “This is now the seventh or eighth player missing with injury and we’re only playing in one competition. It has to raise some questions.
